My name is Yvonne Tanenbaum and I would like to tell you a few things about our dogs, kennel &  myself...........

Moving to Lehigh Acres, FL in 2002 we were formerly located in a rural community named Alva, (Ft Myers area, SW Fla) on 30 acres in the middle of an orange grove.  Because of this some of our dogs developed a taste for oranges and one even would go in the grove searching them out.  We had a creek on one side, hence the name Creekvue, which the dogs all enjoyed in the hot Florida weather.  We were also formerly know as Creekside however due to a computer mixup the AKC didn't realize the name was already registered to a different kennel, so we changed our name to Creekvue.

I am a member of the German Shepherd Dog Club of America,Inc. and signer of their  Breeders Code of ethics. I am a former member of the Ft. Myers German Shepherd Dog Club. In the past I've served as President, V. President, Recording Secretary, Show Secretary and was editor of the clubs newsletter. We have bred and finished many lovely Champion dogs, one ROM bitch and have gotten a few Obedience titles along the way.  I've had dogs all my life but in 1976 I acquired my first German Shepherd Dog. Immediately I realized I would always have a German Shepherd in my life.

German Shepherds are everything you could want in a dog and more.  They are THE most versatile breed and they are amazingly smart and loyal, there is not many dog activities they don't excel at.  And then there's the movement.......to see one doing a flying trot is absolutely breathtaking!

German Shepherds, a thinking breed, do need to keep busy, so we are also active in Obedience and Conformation and dabble just a little in Agility, (there are just so many hours in a day).  You will also find links for these types of activities along with other GSD and many health related dog links on our link page.

I consider my dogs to be members of the family. Because of this we are a very small kennel and breed at most 1-2 litters a year.  Each litter is planned with Health, Temperament, Structure, Beauty and movement in mind.

Our breeding stock is either OFA Certified or X-rayed free of Hip and Elbow Dysplasia as well as being screened for temperament and genetic health problems.

Each puppy comes with a written & signed contract for health and genetic defects.  Also in the contract is a clause stating that if for any reason the buyers cannot keep the dog for whatever reason they will return him to us.  As a breeder I feel it is important to be responsible for every pup born here. I would not want to ever hear of one our dogs going to a shelter, rescue or laboratory and will do whatever possible to prevent this. This is why we also put an "AVID" Microchip in any pup or dog before they leave our property, registered to our kennel.

Every puppy or dog leaving here goes to his/her new home with AKC papers, sales contract, health certificate, vet records, 4 generation pedigree, color pictures of the parents along with copies of their OFA and other certifications. (You can also see each dogs pedigree from their pages complete with links to pictures of most dogs in each pedigree.) To make the transition for the puppy easier we also provide a supply of food, a collar, leash, & toy. To make the transition for the pups new family easier we also provide a book on GSD's. I encourage the pups new family to keep in touch and am here to provide guidance and help in raising & training if needed.
